JMUonline courses are delivered through a
variety of learning platforms with the flexibility to meet your individual
needs and learning style. Two primary e-learning options are available: Blackboard
and Centra.
Blackboard: Internet or
Web-based courses. These courses are mainly asynchronous and can be
accessed at any time using a computer connected to the Internet. Students typically participate in discussion forums, submit
assignments or take tests and quizzes online, access grades online,
and can download course documents. Click

Elluminate: Elluminate Live! Academic Edition is a Web-based synchronous, collaborative learning environment with real-time, interactive functionality: two-way audio and video, whiteboarding and image markup, text messaging, application sharing, and guided Web site viewing. Sessions can be recorded and archived for on-demand playback. Moderator-participant roles can be easily assigned, promoting students to active roles as discussion/session leaders and course content builders. Click here to
